Tumbling!
Did you know you can make your own sea and beach glass? You can and you should! I love the effects I achieve through tumbling. I use this technique for new work, old work; nothing is safe! Tumbling makes me fall in love with the work all over again and pulling tumbled beads out of the barrel is like finding a treasured piece of sea glass at the ocean. It creates a soft matte finish on my glass, and I swear it makes the transparent beads glow when the sun hits them. Tumbling gives the work a certain elegance that a shiny surface does not.
